here is the first blocking pass for 1_17_003. i have to say that the camera
pan from left to right seems redundant and feels like an establishing shot,
which is what 1_17_001 was doing. not only that, but they are both pans
from left to right.

Only comments i have are the hand on stone. I don't want him to touch
the stone. Like he wants to but just can't, like when you go to a
funeral and you want to touch the dead guy but just can't... there needs
to be the moment of hesitation which leads to sorrow then immediately to
intense anger.
Think of it this way ... "Some damn Nohrin just murdered my best
friend!" and you are lookin at his body. You can't believe it, you miss
your friend, and you want blood! These are the emotions the Delgo is
going through in this entire sequence. Shot 002 is the can't believe it,
here I want the brief moment of "I can't believe your gone" and then
intense vengeful anger. The hand once again here is the key.

he looks like he smiles at the rock. I'd expect him to keep the sad face and
turn mad.

his arm goes thru the bag just a bit around 80 to 87...i think i agree a
little with the expression comment- as he reaches for the sacred stone, he
should hav3e a slightly pained look, right side of his lip arched up a
little and his mouth just slightly open, then he goes to mad. when he is
mad, his brows might not need to go do quite that much...just take them back
a little. it will come thru in the nice gesture you have and the sudden
change of mood, but i would push it with the shoulders...shrug up a little
and make them shake extremely slighly, so you get that tense, piping anger.

by the way, i am sure this is obvious, but the shaking of the shoulders
would flow down to his arms too..not totally isolated or it would look like
some sort of worm crawled into his spine.

Definitely getting there...
I would have his hand tremble a bit as it approaches the rock, also the
expression when he is walking in needs to be one of disbelief and concern...
he is simply stunned by what has happened.

really like the way it is shaping up with the tremble and transition...the
only thing that i'm not digging is that expression at the beginning because
i think the slack jaw just makes him look doofy...here's one where i made a
couple a changes (ahhh, the joy of being able to mess with this stuff from
home...). all i did was change his expression so it was more of a sneer at
the beginning and during the examining of the rock. i also pumped the shrug
of the shoulders a bit at the end when he is shaking.
